Conservation of Ressources

We constantly investigate into possibilities to reduce our energy consumption. Since 2021, all plants have been supplied with electricity from renewable energy sources (CO2-neutral, no nuclear power). We select our equipment, machines, etc. according to their energy efficiency.

PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM AT THE COMPANY'S HEADQUARTERS

Photovoltaic elements have been installed at our company's headquarters in Villach to produce energy. On a total area of 7,300 square metres, the solar generators produce approx. 1,100,000 kWh of environmentally friendly, CO2-neutral electricity per year.

In 2020, the photovoltaic system in Villach produced a total of 1,106,131.20 kWh and fed it into the public grid. This equates to 8.66% of the electricity required at the plant in Villach in 2020.

HEAT RECOVERY IN VILLACH

The -10°C cooling circuit has a heat recovery to prepare hot water at 45°C. Approximately 20% of the waste heat is recovered.
